Give Cartahaven Plus
One year of Plus for a hunter, hiker or paddler you know: $9.99 for one year, paid once. It never renews and the person you give it to needs no card, only a free Cartahaven account.
What they get
Satellite imagery offline
Download USGS aerial imagery for each map and see it with no signal. Viewing imagery online stays free.
1 GB backup, with photos
Back up tracks, places, forms and area alerts with their photos (1 GB instead of 20 MB), and get them on every device you sign in on.
Weather radar, rain and snow, hourly
Live precipitation radar over your map, how much rain or snow to expect each day, and an hour-by-hour forecast for the next 48 hours. The 7-day forecast itself is free.
Shooting-light alerts
A notification when legal shooting light starts and ends where you hunt in the US, and a warning before it ends if you like (in the web app, while it is open). The shooting-light times themselves stay free.
Boundary warnings
A warning as you near private land or a hunting unit line, and again if you cross it, from the boundaries saved with your maps, so it works with no signal.
More map data
Open MBTiles and GeoPackage tile maps. Online in some states: leaf-off (winter) aerial photos, and parcel lines with owner names.
How it works
- You pay once and get a gift code (by email too).
- They redeem it at /redeem with a free account. Plus starts then and lasts a year; if they already have complimentary Plus, the year is added on after it.
- They sign in to the Cartahaven map app and the Plus features turn on, on every device they use.
If they already pay for Plus themselves, the gift runs alongside their subscription; they can cancel theirs on the Plus page and keep Plus through the gift.
