About Cartahaven

Cartahaven is a store for georeferenced PDF maps, made by the trail clubs, parks, outfitters and map makers who know the ground, plus a map app that shows your GPS position on those maps with no cell signal.

It is a small, independent business based in the USA. It is new, and it is built for people who need paper-quality maps on their phone: hikers, hunters, riders, paddlers and anyone heading out of signal.

What we believe

• The map should be the publisher’s own sheet, exactly as they made it, not a redrawn copy.
• Buy a map once and its future editions are yours.
• Publishers keep 85% of each sale and their copyright, and can sell their maps anywhere else too.
• Public-domain maps should be free. We list USGS topo maps and Forest Service motor vehicle use maps at no charge.

Safety

Maps are aids, not guarantees. Carry a backup, check conditions with the land manager, and use your own judgment. See the navigation safety notice.
